MMT Performance Driver Clive Hopwell Takes Podium at Time Attack Round 5 Snetterton

When upgrading a vehicle for improved performance and reliability, components like intercoolers, radiators and induction kits often take centre stage. However, one upgrade that’s frequently overlooked is the humble silicone hose.

Whether fitted to the cooling system, turbocharger or intercooler pipework, performance silicone hoses are designed to withstand higher temperatures and pressures than standard rubber alternatives. While they won’t increase horsepower on their own, they can improve long-term reliability and help support other performance modifications.
