Qualifying: Second in Class on a Packed Grid
With a record-breaking entry list, qualifying was more competitive than ever. Despite the challenge of navigating traffic and finding a clear lap, Jack delivered an impressive performance to secure second in class on the grid on his first competitive session at Donington Park. Starting from the front of the class provided the perfect platform heading into Saturday’s race and demonstrated strong pace from the outset of the weekend.
Battling the Heat for a Class Podium
Saturday’s race was run in blisteringly hot conditions, testing both drivers and machinery around the demanding Donington Park circuit.
Managing tyre temperatures and maintaining consistency became critical as track temperatures continued to rise throughout the race. Jack produced a composed and determined drive, staying firmly in contention throughout the race and ultimately securing an excellent second place finish in class.
The result marked a deserved podium finish and rewarded the team’s preparation and race management in some of the toughest conditions seen so far this season.
Another Strong Result in Cooler Conditions
Sunday brought a completely different challenge, with significantly cooler temperatures changing the balance of the cars and the behaviour of the circuit.
Despite the changing conditions, we remained competitive and once again battled amongst the class front-runners. After another hard-fought race, the weekend concluded with a third-place finish in class, adding a second podium to the tally from Donington Park.
Securing podium finishes in both races highlighted the consistency and pace shown across the entire weekend.
Looking Ahead
With a second place and third place class finish added to the championship points haul, we leave Donington Park with valuable momentum heading into the next round of the Championship at Cadwell Park in just two weeks time. Jack made his debut at this very circuit last year on his way to a class pole and maiden victory.
