MINI COOPER R56

The Mini Cooper S R56 has become a favorite among automotive enthusiasts. With modified examples becoming increasingly popular both on the road and the track thanks to its great handling and tunable 1.6L Turbocharged engine.

Like many turbocharged engines, a limiting factor to increasing engine performance is the stock intercooler arrangement which can quickly fall out of its working range as you begin pushing the car. This is why we devote so much time and testing to our MVT Intercoolers.

The vanes located in the end tanks are designed to direct airflow across the intercooler core. Maximizing cooling efficiency and lowering intake temperatures. With lower intake temperatures you can future proof your build and safely increase your cars power output with supporting mods.

One of the supporting mods on your list should be the Direnza Performance Track Series Manifold. Featuring extra thick 3mm walls and manufactured from T304 stainless steel it offers added reliability and is a great way to squeeze some more power from your engine.

Installing a decat downpipe on a turbocharged vehicle is a great way to improve engine performance. What’s great about ours is the addition of a smooth Grey, Ceramic coating providing a thermal barrier against temperatures of up to 850°C whilst reducing surface temperature and the effects of the thermal cycle.
