2019 was a massive year for Direnza. With so much going on, we thought we’d put together some highlights from the past 12 months.
Direnza All Stars
Back in March we announced the first of three All star drivers joining the team. 2018 Drift Cup champion, Andy Frost, would be competing in The British Drift Championship driving his LS Swapped BMW E36. This also gave us the opportunity to reveal our 2019 All Star livery.
We had already built a good relationship with Jonny Fletcher during 2018, so it was only natural to get him on-board for the full Direnza treatment in 2019. His turbo charged Vauxhall Astra caused quite a stir when it turned up for the first round of the 2019 Time Attack Championship at Cadwell Park. A consistently rapid car and some well earned podiums only makes us more excited for 2020.
Last, but certainly not least, Ryan Dignan. Taking part in the 2019 JCW MINI Challenge Championship was a massive move for Direnza and it would take all of our knowledge and expertise to get it right.
Alongside our All Star lineup we also had a fully branded car taking part in the new Focus Cup Championship. The car is based on a three-door Focus 2.0 TDCi Zetec S, producing 175bhp. Each one fitted with a Direnza front mount intercooler.
New range of Engine Mounts
Designed with track driving in mind. Direnza’s premium range engine mounts enhance throttle response and handling as well as looking incredible. First Launched in May for a range of VW, Audi, SEAT and Skoda Models and more recently for BMW and Ford.
Direnza’s brand new, new-look website was launched. Providing a modern and smoother user experience. Every single one of our products was re-pictured by our in house photographer. Yes, that includes every individual Wheel Spacer.
Oulton Park Track Days
For the first time, Direnza All Star cars and the Focus RS development car sat side by side in the paddock at Oulton Park. A day used to gather valuable data for both Ryan and Jonny before competitive outings at the Cheshire based track in the coming weeks.
Late November took us back to Oulton Park to get some more miles on the Focus RS. The weather was perfect and the car ran like clockwork all day. We cant reveal what we were data logging for just yet though.
We have big plans for 2020 and new performance parts we cant wait to show you, however, none of it would be possible without the support and loyalty from our customers which is why we strive to continue building on the foundations formed over the past few years. Providing excellent customer service and high quality performance parts.
